ANEXCAL Botanical Report - Subject Q-94

Similar to other bioluminescent plants discovered thus far on Calyx, Flora Subject Q-94 appears to synthesize luciferin independently. Unique to this organism, however, is that the light produced does not appear to be 'cold' - measurements indicate that aound 60% ot it is gernerating thermal radiation, raising many questions regarding the enzyme/substrate reaction that seems to be taking place within it. This aspect (and several others) renders Q-94 fundamentally unlike any discovery of its kind on Earth.

While the amount of heat produced is negligible for practical purposes, I believe taht the prevalence of Q-94 throughout Sector VICTOR and the possibility of an undetected photoprotein may hold the key to understanding how bioluminescent flora thrieves within Calyx overall. Accordingly, my submission to extract limited samples for further testing in areas where industrial-related illumination is not a priority will be attached to this report.
