MOSSY's Mining Blog
Shiver me timbers! I was way out in the far reaches of VICTOR looking into reports of a new alien mineral - doesn't have a name yet, doesn't really matter - when I came across a NEW PLANT that I have GOT to tell you about.
So why the pirate intro? Well, you take one look at this thing and you can tell that it's sharp - - it's covered in thorns, handle with care, you know the drill. BUT THEN YOU TOUCH IT.
They'll probably update the suits ASAP and you'll never experience this, but the temperature control had to HIT THE BRAKES HARD. Apparently, even making contact with this thing makes your temperature PLUNGE. We're talking, like, kelvin-level action here. Not celsius, not fahrenheit: KELVIN. Like YOUR MOLECULES ALMOST STOP MOVING. We had enough of that on the way here.
Collection of sample from new mineral was unsuccessful - hardness exceeded tool limits. Request for heavier bit submitted.
